This template is NIGHTFLUX, an original subscription video streaming platform built with Next.js 16 App Router, React 19, TypeScript, next-intl, Tailwind CSS v4, Convex, Better Auth, Stripe Billing, and pnpm. It has three isolated runtime modes: Iteru previews use an original eight-title local catalog and read-only Studio; configured projects use Better Auth and direct Convex hooks; unconfigured projects show an explicit setup state. Preview state never authorizes production work. Convex owns viewer profiles, titles, seasons, unified film and episode playables, genres, credits, ranked editorial collections, profile-scoped My List and progress, media metadata, Stripe customer mappings, subscriptions, all_access entitlements, webhook receipts, Checkout reservations, and durable billing operations. Every supplied profile ID is verified against the authenticated account. Accounts may have at most five active profiles. Profiles are archived instead of cascading unbounded deletes. Kids profiles receive server-enforced kids-safe catalog, library, progress, and playback results. Configured videos, artwork, trailers, thumbnails, and WebVTT captions use direct browser-to-Convex Storage uploads. Catalog functions may expose image URLs but never configured video URLs; playback resolves profile ownership and the account-level all_access entitlement before returning a bearer URL. The Convex Storage soft paywall does not provide DRM, transcoding, adaptive bitrate, 4K guarantees, offline viewing, download prevention, or concurrent-stream enforcement. Do not claim otherwise. NIGHTFLUX All Access is one Stripe Product with $9.99 monthly and $99.99 yearly Prices. Hosted Checkout has no trial, uses dynamic payment methods and flexible billing, and access activates from verified webhook projections. Stripe uses Vercel-only API credentials, a webhook-only Iteru manifest, deterministic idempotency, double raw-body signature verification, event deduplication, stale-event guards, immutable Price revisions, and the hosted Customer Portal. Automatic Tax remains disabled until registrations and product tax configuration are confirmed. Admins are eligible through the Convex-only ADMIN_EMAILS allowlist and pinned to a Better Auth user ID. Studio manages genres, collections and ranking, films, series, seasons, episodes, credits, artwork, trailers, captions, publication, and ordering. User-facing routes are locale-prefixed in English and French. Internal navigation uses @/i18n/navigation; auth and Stripe route handlers remain unlocalized. Keep route components streaming-friendly. Use direct Convex queries and mutations for application data and authenticated Next.js Server Actions only for Stripe SDK operations. Preserve the Midnight Premiere direction: crimson and graphite, local Mona Sans, cinematic artwork, subtle grain, transparent-to-solid navigation, keyboard-accessible rails and controls, touch-friendly layouts, visible focus, and reduced-motion behavior.
